SMS / Text Messaging Terms
Effective June 18, 2026
These terms govern the text-messaging program operated by the Linda Cothiere Campaign — the campaign of Linda Cothiere for Miami-Dade County School Board, District 1.
By providing your mobile number and opting in, you agree to be contacted by or on behalf of the Linda Cothiere Campaign at the number you provide, including by automated technology. You may receive recurring messages — text messages, phone calls, and prerecorded voicemail. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Your consent is not a condition of donating, volunteering, or receiving any service. Reply STOP to cancel, reply HELP for help.
What messages you’ll receive
If you opt in, the Campaign may send you campaign updates, event invitations, voting reminders, volunteer opportunities, and donation requests (voter contact). Messages come from the Linda Cothiere Campaign or vendors acting on its behalf.
Message frequency & rates
Message frequency varies based on campaign activity and the election calendar. Standard message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier plan. The Campaign does not charge for the messages themselves.
How to opt out (STOP) and get help (HELP)
You can cancel the text-messaging program at any time by replying STOP to any message. After you send STOP, we may send a single confirmation message to let you know you have been unsubscribed; after that, you will not receive additional messages unless you opt in again. For help at any time, reply HELP or email info@lindaforschoolboard.com.
Carrier liability
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. T-Mobile is not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Consent is not a condition
You are never required to receive text messages to volunteer, donate, or take part in the Campaign. Agreeing to these SMS Terms is optional.
Privacy
Your information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. In short: no mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes, and text-messaging opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third party except service providers acting on our behalf or as required by law.
Changes to these terms
We may update these SMS Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Effective” date above.
